I miss you…

…my old N73 that is!! Ok, so my iPhone is brilliant; I have touch screen, iTunes and an iPod however there are a few features that I miss from the old N73 that if were on the iPhone would easily make it the best phone on the market (come on Apple, pull your fingers out!)
- Profiles – The ability to create a profile of sounds for different occasions and quickly switch to them. The phone also had the ability to automatically switch profiles when certain devices (such as bluetooth) were connected. I used to have a profile for my car, which turned the vibrate off and the ring tone. This was useful so that I didn’t get deafened when the phone rang through the car speakers. As this was automatic I could set it and forget it.
- Bluetooth File Transfer – The ability to share photographs, contacts and other data over bluetooth. Apparently the reason this was left out was due to the fact that Apple didn’t want us sharing music. The irony is that the majority of music on iPhone’s will have been illegally downloaded anyway.
- Local File Browser – The ability to browse all of the files on my device and select and to send via a tree/folder structure.
- Video Capture – Even though I didn’t use it that often it would be nice to have it on a phone of this calibre.
- Flash support – This one speaks for itself
Hopefully now that we almost have the SDK, these features will start appearing as add on apps.
Don’t expect them any time soon though as developers will need time to code apps, and as of yet they have no SDK to work with.
My big question is, whether Apple will charge for these new approved 3rd party Apps? If so, we could see another underground method of installing Apps to the phone.

The N73 is certainly a classic, even now it’s still better than 90% of the phones launched last year.
